I love to have breakfast in Salamanca, a lovely part of Hobart famous for it’s weekly market, art galleries and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. I especially like the banana bread at ZUM’s at Salamanca Place.
Usually I can’t really afford to have breakfast at a top class restaurant before I go to work, but in the last couple of days I had a few meetings and somehow we like the idea of having breakfast meetings early in the morning.
I mentioned before that there are a few business opportunities popping up around me and even though there is still a lot of discussion it is now starting to become concrete. Looks like I will team up with some of my work mates and people who have a strong relation to tourism in Tasmania to launch our own company for tourism related media and web solutions.
The connections these guys have are absolutely brilliant and will give us a good start. Basically we already got some clients but there are still a lot of things to set up. If it all goes well then I guess it will really kick off in January.
So right now I have two jobs and it will be interesting to see how it works together. Somehow I hope that this sideproject will become my new fulltime job soon, it looks a bit more promising than the sort of work I need to do in my current position. I guess we are all hoping for this to happen.
I will probably receive my new camera on Thursday, I simply wanted to have a good one before I leave to Cradle Mountain. I’m thinking about doing a short trip next weekend to check my equipment, I can’t wait to get out of here again and do some walking, the weather hasn’t been that great in the last few weeks.
