Spring weekend ride on the Great Ocean Road (330km)
A couple of weeks ago I joined the Ducati Owners Club Victoria, hoping for a few more opportunities to meet other Ducati riders and join others for rides. Last Saturday one of the members organised a ride to Apollo Bay.
It was going to be a very sunny spring weekend, so I was looking forward to it. I joined the group in the morning when they stopped in Geelong, coming from Melbourne. We took an inland route to Lorne and continued to Apollo Bay via Great Ocean Road.
After lunch we rode back to Lorne on the Great Ocean Road, then the group split and I joined another rider from the Bellarine Peninsula to continue on the Great Ocean Road and return via Barwon Heads.
In the end the trip was around 330km for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was fantastic and it’s great to chat with other Ducati enthusiasts.
For this ride I tested a GoPro camera that I borrowed from a friend, and created a short clip afterwards. For future rides I plan to purchase my own GoPro and want to try improving the sound quality with an external microphone.
