Yesterday evening I went out to take a few sample photos with my new camera, and got some wonderful shots of the sunset.
I’m experimenting with new camera equipment. I have always been unhappy with using my DSLR both for landscape and wildlife photos. Switching lenses all the time caused me to miss out on great photos in the past, and it causes more wear on the equipment too. I’d prefer to have two cameras: one for wide-angle, one for tele and then leave the lenses on permanently.
I managed to get a Fuji X-M1 at a good price and want to use it as my new camera for wide-angle landscape photos. I was intrigued to give Fuji X-series cameras a try, due to their unusual sensor type and their reputation for producing great quality results without much need for post-processing.
The photos here were taken with the kit lens. I have since received a Rokinon 12mm F2.0 and plan to use it as the main lens, but haven’t tried it yet.
I love the clarity and colours in the photos. All photos are JPEGs straight from the camera, I didn’t enhance anything other than levelling the horizon.
